Submissions for Honey & Hemlock’s 2024 Honey Writes competition Open July 1st 2023. Early Bird submissions run until August 31st 2023, Regular deadline runs until December 31st, and the FINAL deadline is March 15th 2024
Compete:
‘Honey Writes’ is a unique short screenplay competition, because our winning script will be produced as a short film by Honey & Hemlock Productions. Both first and second place winners will receive a one year license to Final Draft. To compete, the writer must be 16+, and screenplays must be no more than 15 pages. This is for competition only.
Feedback:
‘Honey Writes’ offers an exclusive opportunity to have your screenplay read by Honey & Hemlock’s executive producers, directors, and writers, as well as industry professionals. Each screenplay submitted to this tier will be given thoughtful and constructive notes. These detailed notes will highlight your script’s marketability and the trials it may face when in production. $25 includes feedback exclusively $35 includes feedback and submission.
Budget Breakdown:
This unique feature of ‘Honey Writes’ offers you the opportunity to get a complete budget breakdown for your script. This includes, an estimate of what the minimum price of producing your script would cost. Down to cast, crew, location and equipment, industry professionals will tell you how much you need to produce the most effective film you can at industry standard. This includes feedback, submission, and budget breakdown
